Ikea's striking new currency campaign

One of IKEA’s biggest selling points is its affordability, so Memac Ogilvy created a campaign that reminds people that beautiful Scandinavian design is as affordable as the least expensive things in their daily lives. The print campaign displayed IKEA product images laid onto everyday items equal to the value of the furniture such as toothpaste, coffee and fizzy drink cans. By creating a visually striking new currency it subtly changed the way people perceive the price of the furniture.
